Love Changed the World

God’s plan to change the world began with His love (John 3:16), a love that reached down to save humanity through Jesus Christ. But that love was never meant to stop with us; it is to flow through us. Jesus gave His followers the greatest commands: love God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:36-39). He also gave a new command, to love one another as He loved us (John 13:34).

This world-changing love is not from human effort, it is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). God’s people are called to live boldly (Proverbs 28:1), empowered by the Spirit (Acts 1:8) and guided by His truth (John 14:26). When we obey His Word and follow the Spirit’s prompting, our lives become a testimony that draws others to Christ. Through the obedience of God’s people, walking in Spirit-filled love, the world is transformed. The same love that once changed the world through Christ now continues to change it through His Church.
